I wanted to know, if I am conducting research experiments (such as transfection, MTT, etc) using 96 wells plates, would it still be ideal to generate my growth curve using 24 well plates? It seems like it would be hard to be accurate using 96 well plates to generate a growth curve due to the small volume of reagents, trypsinization.
I am working with HT29 and HCT116 cancer cell lines.
Hi, In my experience I used 6 well plates, from some online protocols I found 12 well plates

You may do some quantification to check the "cell density" of different multi-well plate.
cell density= (starting cell count*total volume)/surface area
the cell density for different plates for a fixed starting cell count should be close enough.
I am going to generate a growth curve with 4-well plates for the first time in a few days though I am not sure if it is the right plate to choose yet.
