I need a petri dish, 60 mm diameter or less, with height less than 10 mm.
I need to use an upright microscope to image the samples in a petri dish (ideally 60 or 35 mm diameter), but I have an objective with a short working distance, which doesn't reach the base of the petri dish.
I want to keep the lid on the dish, and it's going into an incubation chamber.
Objective -> Incubation lid -> Petri lid -> Sample on small platform -> Petri base.
I'm currently raising the height of my sample, to be closer to the lid, but this is not ideal.
You may check the manufacture website for the dimensions of petri dishes suitable for you.
Are your cells adhesive? if they attached to the bottom of petri dish, can you plate the dishes upside down? or you may culture them on coverslip, and then put coverslip on a slide, which may be easier.
If the cells are in suspension, you may use the "hanging drop slide" for watching the live cells

I think that You will find the best solutions for any use with an inverted microscope (adhesion cells or suspension coltures; living cells with destination for recovery in a sterile circuit). Or I think that You will find the best solutions for any use (fixed cell) with a direct microscope, if this is the case.
If samples are living cells with destination for recovery in a sterile culture, I think that it is better to avoid excessive manipulation of the sample in the petri capsules. Too much handling equal to several contaminants.

TPP sells tissue-culture treated 40mm dishes that are low-profile. I don't know about petri dishes though.

You could use them upside down, the lid is around 5mm high!!!
