I am investigating changes in microglial gene expression, using qPCR (real time, reverse transcription).

Microglia will be challenged with LPS while I establish the protocol, then various signalling molecules. So, I could be comparing *ramified/resting* with *amoeboid/activated* cells. Are any genes known to be stable between these states?

GAPDH is still commonly used, but is reportedly unreliable in at least some circumstances.

Other candidates: CYC, B2M, ACTB (beta actin), RPL13A, HPRT1, L27A, L32
