I use a salting out method to isolate DNA from blood. Sometimes when I add TE to the participated DNA, it doesn't dissolve in it, even after one day. does anyone know why?
If the pellet is large and dry for long time may result this. Do not centrifuge for long time. It cause tight attachment of DNA pellet to the wall of the tube. Otherwise the amount of TE you use may not enough. Add more TE and try once.
And if your DNA pellet is highly contaminated from protein, such pellets also not like to dissolve well in TE.
