My lab microscope not connected to computer and I need to take pictures of the cells in different growing stages. Someone recommended the regular phone camera. Any tips for better details or any other method? Thanks in advance .
Yes you can use good camera which can give a good resolution images. By inserting lens of your camera into the eye piece of microscope you can take images. I did in the same way and got good images.
mastered this one in anatomy :) So you don't need flash on your camera to do this. What you need to do is take one hand and cup the eye piece of the microscope and take the camera a position into the lense of the eye piece. With one hand cupping the eye piece you want to reduce outside light to prevent glare. Like in the images you sent. You want to bring the camera as close to the lense as possible without letting outside light in. And just move the camera around (back and forth, left to right) until you get a good picture. Take time to get it right, but you will get good pictures. They won't be publication worthy though
its a matter of focus of your phone camera, but works pretty well. You may play arround with the light intensity of your microscope in oder to prevent overexposure.
