Just a curious question, this was faced by my friend. He isolated peritoneal macrophages and found them dying the next day after plating. is it common?
Depends in which media you plate them in..
Medium used is RPMI 1640
I think the macrophages need more additives to the media and you have to look at the amount of FBS in the media.
