I have synthesized to the ZnO nanorods using chemical bath deposition methods at low temperature. After finishing the growth process of ZnO nanorods I measure the pH of growth solution it was decreasing with increasing growth time. please can any one provide me the reasons for that?

Interesting question. The chemical reagents are consumed an the hydroxides diminishes. In that way, the pH is reduced. This is a normal behavior if you obtain the species distribution diagrams. Additionally, only at certain reduced range of pH the ZnO material can be obtained.
It is very important question especially that you are synthesized using Chemical Bath Deposition.A decrease of the pH means that you have less OH ions in the solution, which tend to combine readily with zinc . In other words, high growth rates do not keep enough Zn in the solution on the form of Zn(OH)2. You can check this result by thickness measurements where you can see thinner layer at greater pH. For the same deposition time, films grown at low growth rate are thinner(higher PH) , whereas, films grown at higher growth rate are thicker(lower PH) .
