Recently, I read an article ( https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-019-01685-7 ) mentioning that Sanger Institute closed its animal facility because they wanted to move their research to cell lines and organoids. However, isn't it too early?

Since the environments of cell lines and organoids are too simple to represent the complexity in animal body, we do the research on animals and the results can give us the hint of the biological process in human body. This really help us to understand the interplay in our body. Is it a good idea to close animal facility before we find a good alternative now?
