Most commercial kits need fresh samples and the extraction must be done within a day. However, it costs 2-3 days for the samples to be delivered to the lab. Is there any methods that can store the fresh tissue for about a week?
Nucleus extraction is for western blot, mitochondrion extraction is for mitochondrial membrane potential, ROS, and western blot analysis.

Hi,
You can measure oxygen comsuption (respiration) in mitochondria isolated from frosen tissue, but not a membrane potential. Also keep in mind that protocol suggested by Alpana suitable not for all types of tissue (for pancreatic tissue - definitely not!)
