does anyone have a personal suggestion regarding Antibodies for Estrogen Receptor alpha and beta ? There are so many out there and usually I go for Cell Signalling, but the references do not really show nice pictures.
I also found a publication , where the Triple negative Breast Cancer cell line MA-MB-231 actually is positive for the ER alpha , a collegue of mine observed the same with an Ab from DAKO doing Western Blot. But my real time PCR was negative, did anybody by chance have similar results/experience with not cell lines that are NOT considered hormone responsive? I thought, maybe the protein is there, but mRNA Levels are not detectable as maybe expressed at a super low level?

If you are looking for Ab you should specify the tissue/cell you are going to test. Different tissue in different species (humans, rats, mice) deserve different Ab.
