Which step is more effective in removing phenols from the extracted DNA samples of plants?

I still have problems with DNA quality caused by phenols, till I integrated two methods, CTAB for homogenizing and silica filter for purification, and it works. Is there an alternative method?

You can try precipitating your sample DNA with ethanol and sodium acetate.
