For findining minimum inhibitory concentratio(MIC) and Minimum bactericidal concentration(MBC) of green synthesized zno nps, I tried to dissolve the zno nps with different concentrations (2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, 12.5, 15 mg/100ml of distilled water), but precipation was occured . Which solvent is best to dissolve zincoxide nanoparticles?

For ZnO, Ethanol or CH3COOH are best dispersants. most suitable solvent Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) has also been used as a solvent for dispersing zinc oxide nanoparticles.
Ethanol and isopropanol are commonly used solvents for dissolving or dispersing zinc oxide nanoparticles.
Thank you sir for response. if ethanol or any solvent use for dispersing ZnO NPs may have also antimicrobial activity. so, it may shows combined antimicrobial activity with NPs. Adnan Shahzaib
The above are not solutions but at best dispersions.
Agar diffusion is NOT appropriate for study of nanoparticle antibactetrial efficacy and an assay should ensure physical contact - perhaps agitation in suspension.

used DMSO for ZnO NPs, it will give you better result then other solvent, after adding NPs in DMSO sonicate properly @Akuleti Saikumar
