We are preparing some experiments based on irradiating cells under different conditions in order to evaluate the effects in terms of DNA damage, genetic expression, etc. As our project is intrinsically related to breast cancer, we were thinking of using a breast cancer cell line.
We would need to buy the cell line, so we are trying to decide which one should we buy. The expression of estrogen/progesterone/HER2 receptors would be welcomed, as well as tumorigenicity in mice/rats. However, we find it difficult to come up with an appropiate and easy-to-work-with candidate.
What would be your suggestions?

you may want to consider MCF10A. Her2 positive and negative lines are avaliable. 10A are not cancer but rather a benign cancer cell line so you may study how various stimuli may convert them to be more cancer-prone.
Hi, maybe you need to check your references about the mutation rate in each cell lines or check a previous report related with this topic. Each cell lines have a radiation sensitivity.
