I have 3 cells lines;
Wild type control
Wild type transfected with GFP vector
Wild type transfected with GOI-GFPtag
I'd like to do some general characterization on the cells, including cell doubling rates.
My current plan is to plate the cells on 6-well plates at common total cell count.
Every 2 days, I would trypsinise a well from each cell line, and count the cells with the Lifetech countess.
Is this a valid procedure? What cell density is best to use, given that the Wild-type has a doubling rate of 48 hours? Could I use smaller multi-well playes such as 12 well, or 48 well plates?
