Hello, GC-FID is better for Ethanol and Acetaldehyde.

Ethanol and acetate could be properly analysed by HPLC methods with 87H column from Biorad under the condition of 5mM H2SO4, column temperature of 55oC with a flow rate of 0.6ml/min. I have not detect acetaldehyde, but I think it can also be distingusihed from the ethanol and acetate peaks.
