Would like to get some information on different parameters to look for in an OGD ischemic model of cardiac infarction or ischemia. Most of the reports usually look at basic cell viability and morphology. Which I personally feel is not sufficient to represent the pathology. Has anyone performed functional (electrophysiology) studies on such models? is secretion of troponin a measure of ischemia? Plz share your insights. I am very new to this research topic and I may have missed a huge pile of papers in this area; in case you guys are familiar with the topic, plz share the papers.
