Can you be more specific about the context Mohan? For example, is it mouse, is it igg, has it been affinity purified? Has it been conjugated? There can be antibody contamination sometimes because the clone is raised inside the peritoneal cavity of a mouse that is primed with a chemical called pristine. If it is ign, there is more potential for contamination during purigication
Dear Lora, thanks for your response. Was little busy with a deadline. Sorry, my question was not clear! Actually, we are looking for possible byproducts of monoclonal antibodies/vaccines such as antibody fragments, conjugate proteins, larger polypeptides etc which could be released by the manufacturing companies into the waste waters, in spite of their so called rigorous regulations. My question actually was whether anybody reported the presence of such antibodies (intact ones are definitely not possible!) or their byproducts such as the ones mentioned above in waste water samples? If so, what are the reported byproducts and what are possible techniques one can use to quantify them? Thanks. Mohan
