As shown in the figures, there are several abnormal charge/discharge curves.Each of them may have different problems. I am curious why these situations appeared differently?There are a lot of articles talking about the normal curves but i cannot find those talking about abnormal ones. So I sincerely hope you the kind can give me some insprition.
Cathode : P2-Na0.67Fe0.5Mn0.5O2
Electrolyte: 1 mol/L NaClO4 in EC:FEC
Seperator: PP
Anode: Sodium
Cell: CR2023 coin cell
Note: For example, 1 is the Voltage-Capacity-Current-Power Curve 1_1 is the Specific Capacity- Voltage Curve
Some possible reasons (not specific for your figures):
1. The battery has poor contact after being pressed. (the first one, I suppose, it looks like a capacitor and current doesn't come through)
2. The electrode material coating is uneven.
3. The electrolyte is not fully wetted.
4. Incidental issues during the charge-discharge process, such as material shedding and dendrite formation.
You can refer papers in Fault mechanism and diagnosis of batteries, like 10.1049/iet-est.2016.0024, or check them by EIS and in-situ observation.
