Hello Friends,

I want to measure the voltage/action potential of  neurons generated by adult stem cell differentiation. Can anybody suggest any lab in India, preferably North India (in Punjab/chandigarh region as cell viability during transport is an important issue) where people do this technique?

Any ideas about some other alternatives to patch clamp which can measure action potential/functional aspects of neurons (like Fura probes which can measure calcium influx) are also welcome. I want to compare the quality of neurons generated by different type of stem cells, so a quantitative/semi-quantitative assay will work well.

*Need suggestion only for FUNCTIONAL ASSAYS in LIVE CELLS.

*Any other ideas which can be used to compare the efficacy of neural differentiation (apart from IF for Neural ab, Real Time PCR and Neurosphere assay) are also most welcome.

Thanks !
