I am working on inhibitory mechanism of Advanced glycation end products. I have discovered various new potent antiglycation agents by using standard fluorescence detection method. Later on I tried to find exact glycation sites on protein molecules which are glycated by methylglyoxal molecule. But unfortunately still unable to get desired results. Please suggest a method which I can use for detection of glycation sites before and after addition my test compounds.

there are some publications that give detailed instructions on how to detect AGE modifications in proteins (please see attachment for an example). If possible, initiate a collaboration with a lab that has established mass spec methods for detecting AGEs. Of course, you could also send your samples to a company that offers mass spec services for measuring these modifications. In my case I had good results with Proteome Factory located in Berlin.

Thank you for your kind reply. Yes we have very good setup of Mass spectrometry at our institute. But i am struggling to optimize my experiments. Hoping for better results.
