10 October 2015 4 5K Report

Dear All,

According to atcc.org, SH-SY5Y cells have a reported saturation density greater than 1x10^6 cells/cm2. If that is true, one well of 6-well plate has surface area around 9.5 cm2, therefore at 100% confluence, it will have 9.5x10^6 cells of SH-SY5Y. In my newbie experiment with SH-SY5Y, 5x10^5 of SH-SY5Y is almost 70-80%confluence in 6-well.  Do you have expirence with SH-SY5Y? What do you think?

Thank you

Cheerios,
