As far as my perception goes, definitly greed is a forum of suffering. Because the people those who are greedy will not work hard to earn their living, instead they will expect luck to favour them. We all know the story of a duck laying golden egg, so, definitely greed is a forum of suffering.
Greed is an addiction and as such produces dependency and several other undesirable by-products.
Greed results from covetousness and will lead to sinister behaviors. One who holds greed in his inner being suffers internally because he has failed to live peaceably in serving humanity. The greedy person will always be wanting and is never satisfied. The soul that refuses to live soon dies. So yes, greed is a form of suffering.
I agree, greed is a form of suffering. That greed causes more suffering for others I also believe, but the greedy person suffers from never being enough. The need to take as much as possible stems from the conviction that he/she has not accomplished enough to be recognized by his/her peers. Without a connection to
others, generosity cannot exist.

Greed locks the spirit of the individual in a cage, and a caged spirit never learns to fly. As an example, remember Nabal - the greedy husband of Abigail (as told in the 1st Book of Samuel, chapter 25) who eventually died as a result of his greed in refusing to compensate and to share with those who protected his belongings. Greed is a monster, and the person who cherishes it will live a life of suffering.
