We are all witnessing the negative sides of the pandemic caused by corona virus . A large number of infected and unfortunately dead people, negative economic, political, psychological, sociological etc. consequences are increasing with each passing day of the pandemic. Although the loss of human lives is an extreme negative consequences, are there any positive sides of this pandemic?
All the events including loss of lives of the highly precious population are negative. The positive side of the Corona is the very few recovered their lives including the aged from Italy and China. There could be social, economic and environmental measurements are required to assess the effect of Corona. Negatives are 99% and 1% positive.

The COVID-19 pandemic has exposed shortcomings in healthcare systems throughout the world that provide an opportunity to improve them. For example, a faster global response, better and quicker distribution of testing kits, and more coordinated and coherent public messaging should be expected the next time around. (No guarantees, of course.)
One positive effect of shelter-in-place is that many (1000%?) more people are going outside and using greenways, parks and outdoor spaces. I have never seen so much outdoor activity, (walking, biking). The roads have much less automobile and truck activity and bikers are using the bike lanes. Where on a weekend I might see dozens of people out walking/biking, I now see hundreds of people out, even during the week days.

In my views, I find it positive in many ways which are debatable:
1. The revival of the ethical values (differ from person to person but my concern is with Nature's Principle).
2. The importance of cleanliness and hygiene is being realized by many people and communities.
3. The inter-relationship of humans with other nature's components is learned.
4. The ethical food habits are on the way.
5. It taught the human society that the ecology is above economics.
Many of the points are debatable and views might differ. But overall indigenous eco-traditions are on the positive side.......

However, I think this would be a new start for all mankind and planet earth with some lessons to learn. The most important lesson is how temporary and unpredictable is everything in this world and how many precious things we have for granted when we actually don't see them or underestimate them.
Yes, coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has led to drastic decline in air, water and noise pollution.
In our country, in addition to a decline in sound, water and air pollution, there is a massive improvement in law and order situation. The number of FIR at police stations has decreased dramatically. Teachers are moving to online teaching. As most of the offices and all of the educational institutions are closed, electricity consumption has decreased. Peoples are becoming busier with religious activities.
As with all other (cata)clysmic events, this outbreak showed, with the wisdom of hindsight and in contemporary terms:
- where allegiances lie
- that politics and economic interests are ever present, even when human lives are at stake
- what is the degree of accurate scientific knowledge and relevant R&D progress, or shared useful information
- the need for more adequate emergency preparedness (at the state, healthcare and personal level)
- there is production flexibility and resourcefulness in times of need
- that no economy is too big to halt or slow down, yet the hiatus cannot go on for more than a month (even for economically developed countries), otherwise - trouble
- other economic and financial benefits, I have already enumerated in another thread
- public transport has never been cleaner :D
- there is no need to lose one's humanity, even under duress
- stupidity (as per not following authorities' health instructions) due to a superiority/ invincibility complex is more dangerous than a conspiracy theory, or a rumour
- the importance of following daily world news and reading between the lines
- realizing that becoming self-sufficient would be nice, or that
- living in a big city may not be always beneficial
- toilet paper is an important commodity :D, and finally,
- all in all, some people have evolved, while others have devolved...

It depends on the given perspective. Some people got richer and some poorer. Highway banditry and prostitution have reduced. And a lot of inmates on awaiting trial list for an unreasonably long period have been granted bail or released.

Certainly, all bad things have their brighter side too.. if one takes it that.. more from a philosophical angle. We are yet to see or hear about the positive sides of the Covid-19, as many of those are yet to capture the eyes of the media in particular, to spread around... Good lessons are that we need to change the way we had approached the world during our life so far, especially, the past 75-100 years, which seem to be more eventful in terms of indiscriminate resources extractions, violence, extreme kinds of modernisation, wealth creation, etc. Let us turn around and try to have an introspection backed up by concerted actions to catch up the world that we missed some 100 years back!!
We regret all the negative effects it has on humanity especially the loss of lives however it certainly reduced the emission of greenhouse gases. This could lead to a re-think in how we effectively reduce the effect of greenhouse gases after the pandemic.
The positive is that there is no difference between developped and under developed countries
The under developed countries needs to wake up and develop a strategy for the future to developed themselves instead of waiting everything from developed coutries

There are several positive sides to COVID-19. Among its major "achievements", the pandemic has revealed the vulnerability of humanity. With all advancements in science & technology, we have to acknowledge our deficiencies and therefore should stop trying to play the role of God!
In this difficult time of corona, we all are fighting together against it which result that most of the states of our country are free from Corona. We all know that because of COVID-19 we are suffering from social, cultural, technological and economic problems, but according to me- our advantages are more than disadvantages which are as follows:
Social Benefit-Coronavirus brought a big change in our society like people understood their fundamental duties even fighting together from Corona.
