Hy everyone,
Someone of you knows a good alternative for Iba1 rabbit antibody from WAKO company. The company has had problems with the production of the antibody and they are going to deliver it in December or January.
If somebody knows another antibody that works well, can tell me please which an under which conditions, I mean antigen retrieval or other procedure.

I do not know of any. The Wako is the canonical standard. I can say that it is possible to recover the antibody and reuse it so if you kept your antibody solution, try it. In some cases, this procedure is even recommended as it removes non-specific binding in tissue slices. Also, if you have a good research community, it is a common Ab in inflammation studies so maybe one of your colleagues has it and you could borrow a few uL until yours arrives.

Thanks for all your answer, I saw a rabbit antibody of sysy and I will try this. At leat, the images that they show seem to be pretty good. I will tell you if the antibody works.

Yes I did, I upload an image that obtained from mild TBI animals.
I used the antibody of sysy cat # 234003, 1/2000 made in rabbit
I probed it with antigen retrieval, Citric acid 0.1M pH 6.0, 100º, 10 minutes.
I think that the staining is fine, what do you think???

Thank you so much for sharing your information and images of the SySy Iba1 antibody! I have been increasingly worried about the situation with WAKO and I am now happy to order the one you suggest. I am hoping to do some colorimetric staining (with horseradish peroxidase and DAB) using the new antibody and will share my results and protocol when this is done.

For future reference, BenchSci is a good resource to find replacement antibodies.
You can specify the characteristics of the antibody you are looking to replace and find others matching the same requirement. You can also examine published data right away!
I did a search and found good replacements from Gentex, ProteinTech, Sigma, and Sysy
