How to store a purified protein before a kinase assay?

I need to store a protein, purified at different times, for a kinase assay. The protein purified from 293T cells is very dilute. How do you recommend storing? At -80 ° C, with or without glycerol, lyophilized. The glycerol affects the kinase assay?

What buffer do you have it in now? Generally, most proteins are happy in a buffer (20-50 mM Tris or Hepes pH 7-8) with ~100 mM NaCl, 0.1 mM DTT, and 20% glycerol. I would recommend quick freezing on dry ice or dry ice/ethanol and storing at -80.
