I am trying to simulate cells in a 2D laminar flow using two phase level-set method in COMSOL. I use p1 = 1000 kg/mˆ3 and dynamic viscosity u1 = 0.001 Pa.s for liquid and p2 = 1500 kg/mˆ3, u2 = 1.36 Pa.s for cell. However I do not know how should I adapt the default setting or how to plot shear stress. Thank you very much!

Su Ildiz, you haven't specified the exact situation and your requirements, so I try to summarize every possible technique. As far as I know, there are basically three strategies for simulating cells in microfluidics, and each is suitable for a specific purpose:
1. Multiphase flow: treat cell-free buffer as a phase and cell suspension as a phase another phase. In this case cell interactions are not simulated, and cell suspension is [over-]simplified with a uniform fluid which you need to know its apparent viscosity and density. This is suitable when cell/cell interactions are not important beyond changing apparent viscosity, for example to simulate hydrodynamic focusing. Also note this method is not suitable if there is an external force (e.g. gravity) acting on cells.
2. Particle tracing: treat cells as point objects. In this case effect of external forces as well as some cell/cell interactions can be simulated. But keep in mind that in this technique cells are not considered as true physical spheres (also please read my answer here: https://bit.ly/3xd8uYf). Situations like dielectrophoresis, sedimentation, inertial forces can be simulated this way.
3. Direct simulation of cells: draw individual cells, mesh inside and around them, define proper material properties, boundary conditions/forces over cell membrane and solve the physics. Honestly this is almost impossible for cells because of their complexity, but for large single-material particles it can be done though with much difficulty and only for a handful of cells. This method, if can be done at all, simulates the true interactions between cells.
