Currently I'm culturing primary human fibroblasts and keratinocytes from a skin punch in medium (DMEM with 20% FBS and 1% P/S).
I would like to culture these cells separately, but I was wondering if there was some kind of selection medium for keratinocytes (since fibs grow in basically every kind of medium).
did you try doing short time incubation with trypsin?, followed with washes with pbs in this way, the fibroblast will de-attach from the vessel cultures and you kind end with pure culture with keratinocytes. The other trick is to use feeder layer,

Thank you for the suggestion. Do you mean adding trypsin to the co-culture, shortly to detach the fibroblasts without releasing the keratinocytes?
I do want to keep the fibroblasts (in a separate culture).
Yes Clara is right. Fibroblasts will detach first, you can follow it with your microscope.
