I came across this problem recently and my solution was to change the defined contacts. if you get this error this means somewhere in the model there is a glitch and it needs to be revised. you might also face this error with wrong input of mechanical properties.

I'm getting this error at the same exact timestep using different LS-Dyna versions (e.g. R901 double-precision, experimental version 110872, etc., running an explicit analysis) and with different amounts of memory allocated (from 50M to 300M).  But no LS-Dyna errors are printed explaining why there would be such an error.

I reason was that I didn't define some of the material properties (Isotropic elastic plastic material).

I have the same problem in MCNP running.

How can I fix the problem.

It is worth mentioning that I used variance reduction in my problem.

I got the same phrase. It was the contact problem between striker and the specimen. I have checked and revised it. the problem is fixed. You should check your contact card.

Had the same issue. I was specifying NCPU and Memory.

The model worked on leaving those default.

I had the same problem, and I solved the problem by specifying memory. do not set Memory to defult.

Hi, I have experienced same problem recently. I was trying to make contact SPH particles with a steel shell plate. I used Plastic_kinematic. It showed the error we are discussing. Later I have changed it to MAT98 Jhonson Crook. Now my model is working good. Even the processing time is reduced much.

I am experiencing the same problem while performing an implicit analysis. Can someone suggest any solution?

I am dealing with the same question, did someone find the exact reason to the problem?

1) Check for duplicates

2) Check for free rigids or other elements

3) Check all contacts again

4)check material properties

5) sometimes part get crushed and insurted in itself which may also cause this problems.

I came across the same issue with my model. The error got fixed when I updated the contact definition.
