I performed fea on tensile dog bone specimen using ANSYS static structural and also tried using ANSYS explicit dynamics.
In experimental result the load is 500 N and deformation is 0.6 mm whereas in fea the load is around 550 N but deformation is too large (8 mm) compared to experimental counterpart. I am unable to understand this behavior.
For material properties, I am using multilinear material model, defined using stress-strain curve data from experiment.

Apart from the deformation. Is the overall behavior expected? (Stress, force results, deformation in other directions, possible contacts and their behavior), have you confirmed that your physical setup is in fact applying those same 500N? How is your simulation setup compared to your physical ? . Are the nonlinear effects for the multi linear material model active in your simulation.
Additionally to asking myself those questions, I would take a look at the stress concentrations to make sure there are no singularities that may be influencing the results.

I just realize your graph shows your high deformation at a force reading of 1234.9N, is this expected? have you try only applying 500N and review the result?

Aamer Nazir acording to the grapgh you showed, you have less than a mm of deformation at 500N(that replicates physical behavior mentioned).
What are the stress results readings you have at that point? you could try a simulation only with 500N instead of the 1234.9N you are reaching and reading the stresses to see if it would explain the breakage of the material. Second option is to simulate the deformation at you break and read force result and stresses.
