So the column length is not relevant for the calculation. From the retention factor RF and the unretained marker UM (2min) you will calculate the retention time RT, using the formula RF=RT(compound)/RT(UM), and you will calculate RT(A)=11 min, RT(B)=13.8 min, RT(C)=15.8 min. From the plate number N you will get the width of the base of the peak WB using the formula N=16(RT(X)/WB(X))^2 , WB(A)=0.790 min, WB(B)=0.984 min, WB(C)=1.076 min. Resolution R(A-B) can be calculated using the formula R(A-B)=2*(TR(B)-TR(A)/[WB(A)+WB(B)] and you will get R(A-B)=3.16 and for R(B-C) using the similar formula you will get R(B-C)=1.94.
