I tried to make a mat of PLA by using the electrospinning method, but after achieving a certain thickness, there is a formation of blisters and lumps on the mat surface.
Is it because of humidity or temperature? set humidity was 40%, temperature 25-28C
before the electrospinning process the as prepared solutions should be continuously stirred for 24 h until clear solutions were obtained.

Which solvent you have used for the electrospinning? If it is CHCL3 then you should add a little amount of DMF or THF to the CHCL3. The combination of these solvents provides goof nanofiber morphology.
I also have same problem with PAN.
I HAVE NOT seen it before, but during last electrospinning, I have a lot of these things on my web.
I am using PAN/DMF 8%
I think, the solution is stirred to much and polymer is degradaded!

Because of two factors, the first being the solvent and the time it takes to make a solution, and the second being humidity, I believe that pla should be placed in the oven before and after work. Pla has a chemical structure that allows it to absorb a lot of water.
