I have mixed 100 ml of Ammonium Persulphate with 10 ml of Isopropanol and stirred them. However, the resulting solution does not etch Copper at all. With a pure Ammonium Persulphate solution, Copper etch normally and fast. Am I doing anything wrong?
Ammonium persulfate is prepared by electrolysis of a cold concentrated solution of either ammonium sulfate or ammonium bisulfate in sulfuric acid at a high current density.
Mixing with Isopropanol in the ratio you have talked about will take an hour before formation. Remember the reaction is endothermic. You can try the ratio of 8:1; 9:1 if ratio 10:1 doesnt work.
