I am currently trying to purify proteins from different insect cell lines and baculoviruses. One of the criteria I want to check is the amount of host cell protein (HCP) in the purified sample. However, while there are ELISA kits available for Sf9 & Sf21 cells there is no such kit for HighFive cells.
Does anyone know of a kit, or an alternative method?

How? I dont know of any method to detect the amount of host cell proteins by affinity cromatogarphy. Can you explain?
Is sensitivity from classical SDS Page not enough for your purpose?
You can also add a protein precipitation + solubilization in smaller volume to increase sensitivity.
I mean you can easily compare the HCP profile/content obtained with different cell lines by SDS Page.
