I am looking forward to label proteins inside yeast cell. I wonder if there are chemical fluorophores one could use in yeast for imaging?
If yes what are the methods by which it could be delivered inside the cells?
The usual way is to make fluorescent protein chimeras. Here is another way, but I don't know if it works with yeast:
