I am using pMIR-Report for the checking the binding of microRNA on 3'UTR of a gene through luciferase assay. Can i use this same vector for checking the binding of microRNA on CDS as the binding is sequence specific whether is sequence of 3'UTR or CDS. OR there is some other strategy ??? Please help me.
Hi Gurjeet, from what I have read in the recent literature you can use RNA-EMSA to evaluate miRNA-mRNA interaction. I attached the link for one of the papers using this methodology for this purpose, but I know there are other publications which have also used this method.
