How can I estimate the Glutamate using HPLC with ECD?

I want to estimate Glutamate from different region of the rat brain.

Please suggest a detailed "step by step" procedure for the same by using HPLC with Electrochemical detector.

I have C18 column (4.6X250 mm) with pore size 80A, particle size 5um.

Actually, there are a number of method with C18 column and fluorescence and UV-Vis detector but you these detectors are not available with you as you have written we have C18 and ECD.
