Hi, i want to use 20ng/ml BFGF in culture media. How can i dilute 35 microgram bFGF/35 microliter Tris 5mM without any problem for breast cancer stem cells?
35 microgram bFGF/35 microliter Tris 5 mM = 35 mg/35 ml = 1 mg/ml = 106 ng/ml
Therefore, make the following dilutions; 1/100 (Sol. A), 1/10 (Sol. B) and 1/50 to make a solution with a concentration of 20 ng/ml (Sol C).
Example of making Sol. A: transfer 1 ml from the solution 35 microgram bFGF/35 microliter Tris 5mM (stock solution) to a 100 ml volumetric flask and dilute with Tris 5mM to a 100 ml (to the mark). You repeat the same procedure for preparing solutions B and C, however, you use 10 ml volumetric flask for solution B and 50 ml volumetric flask for solution C.
