I would like to transfect the anti-miR to the cancer cells. I have purchased it from sigma. I have the lipofectamine 2000 as a transfection agent.But I don't know the procedure to conjugate the fluorescent dye such as cy5 or other to check the fluorescence oriented tracking in the cell. Please suggest me appropriate protocol.

I think the dye cy5 has to be conjugated chemically with antimiR oligo. Only just addition of cy5 to the reaction mixture during complexation of oligo and lipofectamine 200 won't work. You can try any dye-conjugated transfection reagent (liposomes) but this will only give you the idea of cellular uptake of oligo. You can request companies like life technologies to make cy5-conjugated anti-miR. Hope this helps.
