I have compiled Usermat via Relink ANSYS in ANS_ADMIN. it produced ANSYS.exe but when i tried to activate it through USRCAL, i could not find USERMAT there.
And again, i tried to compile through dynamic link ibrary but i could not find the steps after creating ANS_USER_PATH environment variable. I dont know how to get ANSYS.exe file through this method. In the guide, it suggests to run user link version of ansys but i dont know how to run that. Can you suggest me ways how to link USERMAT to ansys.
I am using VS 2010 and fortran compiler 12.1.

Compiling user subroutine is tough for me at the beginning as well.
I am using Linux system. So, if you can access ansys in linux system. I can tell you how to do it. I think it's much more easier than do in in windows.
I highly recommend you to use ansys technical support. If you have the series number of ansys. You can register an account, and post your questions them. They are very helpful.

I have also the same problem. When I compile usermat via Relink ANSYS in ANS_ADMIN or dynamic library, I always get this error" Fatal error LNK1104: can not open file 'ANSYS.exe'. I am using visual studio 2013 and intel parallel studio XE 2015 for compiling.
