I am modelling FRP strengthened RC beam using Combin39 as interface element to model the FRP/concrete interface. I am using a bond slip model which will provide me bond stressa and slip relation. But for Combin 39 I need Force-displacement relation as input. How to get Force from bond stress ? I used the product of bond stress and element area to calculate force. But it didn't work. So, please can you suggest me the some articles, books which would guide to model bond slip in ansys.
Thanks for the answer..But i am using the bond model developed by Lu et al.2005 for the bond slip which has been successfully used by other researchers in debonding analysis of FRP and concrete interface. Actually, i dont have idea to input data in ANSYS for the Combin 39. The bond stress-slip data obtained from the bond slip model has to be converted to force-displacement relation in order to use Combin39 in Ansys. So, i would be grateful, if you have ideas regarding using of bond stress-slip relation in Ansys for Combin 39 in bonding of FRP/concrete interface.
If the data belong to a peeling test of FRP sheets off the concrete face, then you are doing the wrong kind of modelling. Data from a Peeling test cannot be used for force-slip relations in linear springs. Such data is better used for "Contact" elements with Cohesive Zone Material Models (CZM) wherein you can input "fracture" energies for different modes of fractures based on the peeling test of the FRP-Concrete interface. A bond-slip modeling valid for use in spring elements can only be derived from pull-out tests of rebars pulled from concrete stubs.

Hi Prabin Pathak! Did you get the answer for your question? I am doing a research of RC beam reinforced with FRP composites and I would like to use de model of Lu et al (2005) too in Ansys. I have the same question that you had, but I am using the element Inter205 for the interface.
