I am using Dionex ultimate 3000 fraction collector and try to isolate some target peaks. But, it seems tiring/boring job when you cannot acheive it exactly. Do you know tips that makes it easier?

I worked by Dionex ultimate 3000, and I applied fraction collector to collect my samples, It was very good. If you could adjust times of collecting samples, you could gather your samples well, always I adjust time to 30 seconds, if your peaks wide is small than 30 seconds, it's better to adjust time to 10 seconds.
I hope that you could collect your samples well.
Its very good experience with fraction collector to isolate the compounds.
Dont use totally crude samples for separation. Use resins for prilimanary purification and check TLC then use it in fraction collector.

Fraction collector, this is an interesting topic as they have been around for decades and decades but for some reason, sometime, forgotten. I guess that one reason is $$$$, they are somewhat expensive. If you can afford it and you collect small/medium size fractions, I would recommend a Gilson FC203B, they are expensive but I have seen some working again and again after more than 10 years. good luck
