I am trying to construct a periodic plasmonic array on a substrate. The image of the structure is attached. There are silver triangular particles placed on top of the Quartz substrate. These plasmonic nanoparticles are placed within a thin silica spacer layer. I am trying to do meshing by following the "scatterer on a substrate" model. However, I am getting errors when building the meshing. The error is generated by the copy face 1 (error image attached). This error doesn't occur if I remove the spacer layer.

I am repeating the meshing as it is from the model "scatterer on the substrate" uploaded on the COMSOL website.
If you look at the pdf available on the website, this is exactly how they do it. Could you please explain exactly what you mean by meshing first the face and then copying it?
So in the first step, I define the free triangle mesh on the two adjacent faces(attached). In the second step, I am copying on the opposite faces (attached). Could you please let me know how to implement the changes you are suggesting?
