Does biotinylated hyaluronic acid binding protein work for recombinant hyaluronic acid?

From my understanding biotinylate hyaluronic acid binding protein (bHABP) binds to the link protein between HA and proteoglycan monomers. Would recombinant HA have this link protein and would bHABP bind to HA in a synthetic matrix?
