Hello!

I have received 10 mg of SB242084 hydrochloride (https://www.sigmaaldrich.com/CA/en/product/mm/506417). Since the sigma datasheet said it would be water soluable, I tried to dissolve it in 1 mL of water. Since this didn't work, I used 10x PBS (7.4) to try to dilute in a solution of 5 mL 1x PBS (as I read on https://www.glpbio.com/sb-242084-hydrochloride.html). I lowered the pH using HCl, while stirring at 37 degrees, but all to no avail. In a moment of desperation I have now added 5 mL of saline to try to dissolve everything in a volume of 10 mL, as I find many papers who dissolve SB242084 in saline, but still no success.

Does anyone have any advice for me on how to dissolve this compound? Ideally I would like to stay away from DMSO if possible. The goal is to inject at 1 mg/kg in rodents.

Any help would be much appreciated!
