MTT method
We have used 540nm for MTT reading and I think it doesn't meter which type of cells are you using.
I also used 540 nm for MTT assay and this assay is not cell line specific.
540 or 560 nM is the most efficient,
i always substract a 720nM readout as a background control.
We work with HeLa cells and read absorbance at 570 nm for MTT. It is not cell line specific as they have said.
