I will be using UV radiation as part of my work in cell culture and animal studies. I would like to know if there is an UV chamber/design available that can be used for both purposes.
May be I can help you. At present I am working on a small UV Light Source with 4"x6"x6" size for some biomedical application. You can contact me with the email do discuss your exact requirement. prasanna(dot)waichal(@)fnu(dot)ac(dot)fj
We use a lamp box that contains 5 FS20 bulbs that emit peak irradiation around 313nm. We use a Kodacel filter to remove all UVC and ~90% UVB, so that this simulates similar exposure to that of the sun. This box can be used for cell culture or irradiating mice. It is easier to use the filter with cell culture dishes than mouse irradiation, unless if you anesthetize the mice so they don't move.
Hi Raj, I Have worked on Photoaging which is mainly because of UV radiation. You can use wooden box divided in several equal parts where animals can be put and irradiated to UV radiation in UV chamber.
