Megakaryocytes are notorious for nonspecific staining. When megakaryocytes stain nonspecifically for cytokeratin or any other stain, you will see it as a cytoplasmic blush instead of the expected membranous staining. I have seen this many times. This may have to do with stain performance quality. Megakaryocytes should not normally stain for cytokeratins.
