Hi,
I am looking for methods of removing the salt from a solution, without using buffer exchange dialysis, or spinning down using membranes, so that no proteins are lost, no matter how small they are.
Would someone know a different method?

If the salt that is to be removed is volatile, it can be done by lyophilization. Volatile salts include ammonium formate, ammonium acetate, and ammonium bicarbonate.
You can desalt by chromatography on Sephadex G-25. You will only lose very low molecular weight oligopeptides.

You may desalt by all methods suggested and maybe do not loose protein but I doubt that the protein you will get will be identical to what you had in the salty environment,especially if it is by and large polar.
