Dear all!

There are several approaches to create 3D (??not always clear) map of refractive indexes of object using either standard phase contrast, or DIC, or common brightfield imaging. The most known models are line integration or deconvolution, transport-of-intensity equation model and ray propagation model by Kagalwala-Lanni-Kanade.

The map is later used to perform space-variant deconvolution of specimen. Articles, advertising methods, say that the particular model gives very good results, but there is rather little of illustrations to be sure. Furthermore, articles, citing the above-mentioned, lack representative pictures, too. If you use any of the techniques for phase retrieval, please, answer.

I suppose, that Torok model for refractive index mismatch in triade lens-immersion medium-embedding medium is very good, but not always sufficient for thick samples.
