We are culturing Trichoderma reesei to obtain catalase (CAT) on a lab scale.
As a result of culturing for 24 hours using LB Broth Low Salt culture media, 40*10^7cfu/ml was grown. However, when scaled up, the result was 40*10^5cfu/ml.
Can you recommend a better or cheaper culture media for scale up?
Try adding a sugar/carbohydrate source. Did you aerate your culture?

Cellulose, xylose and lactose are commonly used ones.
Are you monitoring the pH? Maybe adding a phosphate buffer might help. Several papers also add trace metals when culturing this organism.

The sugar/carbohydrates would be an energy source so would stimulate growth, through increased ATP production without having to divert carbon from other pathways, if other nutrients do not become restricting. Catalase is a protein so increased yields would more likely to be tied to amino acid availability (provided by the tryptone) and RNA nucleotides for transcription/tRNA synthesis.
Are you saying the culture becomes more alkaline as time progresses?
